How Does It Work?#

Sequencer 182 MK2 is a dual-row analog-style step sequencer with internal or external clocking, selectable repeat logic, and separate direct and delayed CV outputs.

Quick Overview#

• CH-1 and CH-2 each provide eight step values in the 0V..+5V range.
• The module can run from its internal clock or advance from TRIG IN.
• Step Mode chooses REPEAT, STEP, or SINGLE.
• Chain Mode chooses PARALLEL or SERIES.
• CV OUT-1 can be slewed with DELAY, while CV OUT-2 always stays direct.

Inputs And Outputs#

Port	Type	What It Does
TEMPO CV	CV input	Exponential tempo control. The engine treats it as 1V/oct tempo modulation.
TRIG IN	Trigger input	Advances one step on each rising edge, or starts the sequence if it is stopped.
CV OUT-1	CV output	Primary sequence output. DELAY applies only here.
CV OUT-2	CV output	Secondary direct sequence output.
GATE OUT	Gate output	Per-step gate whose width is set by GATE TIME.
TRIG OUT	Trigger output	Short end-of-cycle trigger pulse.

Step Rows#

Master Controls#

Mode Behavior#

Mode	What Happens
REPEAT	Runs continuously and wraps back to the first step.
STEP	Disables internal stepping. Each TRIG IN pulse advances exactly one step.
SINGLE	Runs once to the end step, emits the end trigger, then stops.

Chain Behavior#

Mode	What Happens
PARALLEL	CH-1 and CH-2 advance together for the selected Step Number.
SERIES	The sequence runs all eight CH-1 steps first, then the selected number of CH-2 steps.

Behavior Notes#

• TRIG IN always works as an external step input and can also start the sequence from rest.
• CV OUT-1 is the only output affected by DELAY.
• TRIG OUT is a short pulse generated when the playhead reaches the end boundary.
• In SERIES mode, CV OUT-2 remains the direct channel-two output while CV OUT-1 follows the currently active sequence stage.
