Audio Input

Complete manual and reference for the Audio Input module.

UPDATED MAR 9, 2026

How Does It Work?#

Audio Input brings live stereo audio from your microphone or interface into the rack and lets you trim the incoming level before patching it elsewhere.

Quick Overview#

  • Audio Input is a hidden system I/O module rather than a normal sound source.
  • It has one Gain control and two audio outputs.
  • L and R carry the incoming stereo channels independently.
  • If no input audio is available, the module outputs silence.

Inputs And Outputs#

PortTypeWhat It Does
LAudio outputLeft channel from the host audio input.
RAudio outputRight channel from the host audio input.

Controls Reference#

ControlRangeDefaultBehavior
Gain0..21Scales the incoming stereo signal before it leaves the module.

Behavior Notes#

  • There are no patchable inputs on the panel. The signal source is your configured hardware input.
  • Gain is smoothed, so level changes are not applied as abrupt jumps.
  • The module preserves stereo separation: left stays left and right stays right.
  • If the input buffer runs empty, both outputs fall back to 0.
