Envelope
Complete manual and reference for the Envelope module.

How Does It Work?#
Envelope is a classic ADSR generator with end-of-rise and end-of-cycle triggers, plus selectable soft or hard retrigger behavior.
Quick Overview#
- The module responds to a
Gateinput and generates one unipolar envelope. ENVoutputs the main ADSR shape.EORpulses when attack finishes.EOCpulses when release reaches zero.- The panel also includes a manual
TRIGbutton and a retrigger mode switch.
Inputs And Outputs#
| Port | Type | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
Gate | Gate input | Starts attack when it goes high and starts release when it goes low. |
Env | CV output | Main envelope output in the standard 0V..+5V range. |
EOR | Trigger output | Fires a short pulse at the end of the attack stage. |
EOC | Trigger output | Fires a short pulse when the envelope fully returns to zero. |
Controls Reference#
| Control | Range | Default | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
A | 0.00002..10 s | 0.01 s | Attack time. |
D | 0.00002..10 s | 0.1 s | Decay time. |
S | 0..1 | 0.7 | Sustain level as a normalized fraction of full scale. |
R | 0.00002..10 s | 0.3 s | Release time. |
Retrig | Soft, Hard | Soft | Chooses whether a new gate restarts from the current level or resets to zero first. |
TRIG | Momentary | — | Manual gate button for auditioning the envelope from the panel. |
Behavior Notes#
Softretrigger keeps the current envelope level and rises from there.Hardretrigger forces the envelope back to0before starting attack.ENVis scaled to0V..+5V.EORandEOCare short unipolar trigger pulses of about1 ms.- With no gate patched, the envelope stays idle unless you use the panel
TRIGbutton.
